So, we took a trip to Atlantic Beach, NC.

Those of you who know The Daddy are aware that a typical trip to the beach means sleeping in the car, showering in public, and generally wallowing in sand for the entire trip.

Not so with The Mommy – behold, Mommy’s idea of a beach pad:

Xak, taking after his old man, turns out to be no great fan of the ocean…cue the main title from “The Monkees”:

The SAND, however, was a whole different story, and Xak took to organizing the beach with much gusto:

Sake had a good time in general, but was not up to tangling with the locals:

We had very much fun…and the ride is only 3 hours.

YAY!!!

Xak got his cast off this week – after only three weeks on. Doctor says he is healing up fantastically, and the x-rays show the bones mending quite nicely:

We kept his cast for his memory book, and he is right back to using his arm (although, I think he’s now left-handed for life).

This is the first time I’ve been able to capture Xak on film during the spontaneous act of goading the dog to “dance” – oh and sorry bout the volume of the music…
